WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, October 28. The Wellington Racing Club’s Spring meeting was concluded at Iren than, to-day. The weatiicr was perfect, anu tnaro was a record attendance of 9UUU, including the Governor, the Prime Minister, and several otner Ministers and M’.P.’s. The totalisator turnover was £28,412 (a record), making £38,227 for the mooting, compared with £45,322 at the last Spring meeting. The deficiency is due to the bad weatner on Saturday. WAYERLEY-WAITOTARA RACES. Glorious weather was experienced for the Wavoid ey-Wu itotara annual meeting and the attendance was very large. The fields were large, the starting excellent, and the racing keen and oxciting. Prior to the running of the "Wilson Stakes a hack tethered in the weighing enclosure attempted to jump the picket fence, and disembowelled himself. The unfortunate animal was quickly shot. The Hawera trainer, 0. Cox, had a field day, Timothy, Sampan and Princess Flo winning races. The following are the details of the racing:— MORTON MEMORIAL MAIDEN RACE, of 80 sovs; second 10 sovs from the stakes; weight-for age. • Seven furlongs. Mr J. O’Sullivan's ch m Princess Flo, St. Paul—Flagelot mare, 4 yrs, 8.9, (O. McCarten) 1 Mr P. Johnston’s ch m White Crane, oyrs, 8.12 (McMillen) ... 2 Mr F. Notrom’s h g Sir Donald, 4yrs, 8.11 (F. Meagher) 3 Millhanks (E. Campbell) 9.0, Squireen (L. Nodder) 9.10, Lady Grattan (Coker) 8.12/ Ona (J. Graham) 8.12, Empress (Mclntosh) 8.12, Eastwind (W. Rayner) 8,12, Roseblush (J. Paul) 8.12, Grandee (L. Lambess) 8.11, Waiwetu (S. Reid) 8.11, and Patroness (E. Abbott) 8.9 also started, Princess Flo" won by over a length. Sir Donald was a similar distance away third, just in front of a bunched .lot, and Millbanks whipped in the field. The favourite, Eastwind, ran well to the distance. Time, Imin Slfsec.

Eurocco joined Master Laddo at the six furlong post, and the pair were three lengths out from Sampan and Cornelian. The latter made a forward move three furlongs from home, and, as the field bunched on the turn, got a lucky run on the rails and joined Sir Laddo as they straightened up. At the distance Cornelian had his head in front, but the favourite was not done with, and came again. Both horses raced abreast to the post,- the judge’s verdict, “a dead heat,” being greeted with acclamation. Sampan was three lengths away third, and Eurocco close up. Time, 2min 15 l-ssoc. Topic (W. Mullen), Wai-Haeremai (W. Andrews), Hierarchy (H. Olliver), Rosaleys (Y. Lee), Yankee Doodle (TL Richards), Royal Dragoon (F. Faulkner), Opoko (A. McMullen), Lavelos (A. Simpkins), Park Tide (F. Copestake), St. Lumsdon (E. Fitzwater), Floss (A. Olliver), Simple Sam (H. Batten), Patronata (J. Graham), Runaway Girl (F. Meagher), Or Vieux (W. Raynor), Galtec (C. Mclntosh 1 ), Rector Girl (O. Monk), Perceler (R. Horne), Princess Flo (O. McCarten), Supply (H. Goldfinch), and Shady Girl (J. Paul), also started. A splendid race to the post saw Lucerne, nicely handled by his popular owner, land the stake by a long neck from the fast finishing Crawford, who was a similar distance in front of Royal, Simon. The rest were right on Royal Simon’s heels. Time, 52 1-5 seconds.

Allure came fast on the outside, and, sweeping past Katua below' the distance, came on and won easily by three lengths from St. Serf, who beat Katua by over a length. Gordon Bell and White Crane were next. Time, Imin 31scc. MOMOHAKI STAKES, of 85 sovs; second horse 10 sove from the stake. One mile and a distance. Mr J.
