WAIHI HOSPITAL BOARD.
(Per Press Association.) Waihi, October 26. At a meeting of the Waihi Hospital and Charitable iAa/i.l Board grateful reference was made to the Premier, the Hons. Mr Rhodes and Mr Herries and Mr Poland for assistance in the matter of a special grant of £IOOO to the Hospital and Charitable A'd Board. It was resolved that owing to the stringent condition of the fund the Board would be unable to assist the wives of the Waihi prisoners, who allege that the Union refuses to support them.
