CREEKS BADLY BEAT TURKS. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) Athens, October 24. Twenty thousand Turks and six lotteries are entrenched at Sarauta Poroga. There was stubborn resistance during the morning, and on Tuesday the light was continued by moonlight. During the night a flying column of the Greek third and fourth divisions executed a flank movement on the Turkish left. Daylight revealed the plan, and the Turks fled precipitately, leaving a quantity of baggage. The Greeks hotly pursued them through the detiles. On Wednesday evening they occupied Serfije and also the bridge over the Halikmon River, threatening tiie Turkish retreat. Before abandoning Serfije the Turks massacred seventy Greek priests.

The Greeks have advanced their headquarters to Khan Kaizzoga. The troops are in the highest spirits. The Crown Prince reports that twenty-two guns were captured and much ammunition and transports. •The Turkish army is scattered, and the pursuit continues. Daiiglib reports that the Turks lost heavily, and many prisoners were taken, including a lieutenant-colonel. Two battalions of Evyons, under Lieutenant-Colonel Constantopulos, attacked two battalions near Vlakholivadon, destroying them. BOMBARDMENT OF TARABOSCH. Cettinje, October 24. Fog and heavy rain interfered with 'the‘bombardment of Tarabosch. Esad’s possession at Scutari is considered impregnable. Constantinople, October 24. The Montenegrins are cannonading Tarabosch without result. The Turkish artillery dismounted three Montenegrin field ‘ batteries. THE CAPTURE OF NOVIBAZAR. Belgrade, October 24. Genera] Janovics secured Novibazar after three days’ desperate fighting, the Turks bolding a strongly fortified position. SLAUGHTER AT NOVIBAZAR. London, October 24. Reports received state that desperate lighting is proceeding at Kumaneva and both sides claim victories. A great slaughter occurred at Nonbazar. MACEDONIAN REFUGEES. Received 9.5 a.m.) London, October 24. The Bulgarian Legation states that 5000 Macedonians' have taken refuge in Bulgaria, alleging massacres and burnings. “ A PARCEL OF BANDITS.” The Pall Mall Gazette’s Berlin correspondent says that Gorman poimon strongly sides .with the Turks, as it views the Allies ..as a parcel of bandits instigated by Russia, while Eng land is credited with playng for Cr&xe, or, at least, Simla Bay.

Nazim Pasha, states the correspond ents, has gone to the front. There war. heavy fighting between Adrianople and Kirk Kilissia throughout the clay. A decisive result is not expected un.i, Thursday evening. Both sides show the utmost bravery and determination. The Turks at Arda redoubt adopted an offensive attitude early on Tuesday, and drove off the Bulgarians, who were advancing cast of the Tunga River. A BULGARIAN REVERSE. The Bulgarians attacked the Turks at Kalemansia West. At Adriauople the fighting continues. ‘The Bulgarian cavalry at Malkojalas attempted to rush a position at Adriauople, but were driven off with great loss. Sofia, October 24. An accident at Smyrna is attributed to the Macedonian emissaries who were sent to Asia Minor to impede the despatch of the Asiatics. SHOT FOR CORRUPT PRACTICES. A Red Cross hospital nurse was shot for soiling information to the Turks; also a Government official who gave a receipt'for forty tons of cheese, when only thirty were bought. RAIN AT THE SEAT OF WAR. (Received 25, 10.35 a.m.) Constantinople, 'October 24. Mukhtar Pasha, a son of the Grand Vizier, is defending Kirk Kilissia. There has been continuous rain throughout the seat of war. KIRK KILISSIA CAPTURED. Sofia, October 24. Kirk Kilissia has been captured. The Turks at yesterday’s sortie at Adriauople lost twelve guns. IT io Bulgarians are now within three to live miles of the fortress, and are fortifying their position. London. October 24. The garrison of 50 000 at Kirk Kilissia, with many Krupp guns and much ammunition, has been captured, after a succession of assaults. (Received 25, 10.45 a.m.) Constantinople, October 24. A telegram from Sarajevo states that the Montenegrins’burned Pleviie.

Kirk Kilissia, with a garrison of 50,000, including two Pashas, lias been captured. REPORTS LACK CONFIRMATION. (Received 25, 1.30 p.m.) Sofia, Octooer 24. The report that 60,000 prisoners were captured at Kirk Kilissia required confirmation. Oificial reports state that a battery of quick-firers was captured, and many prisoners taken. The Turks are returning in disorder to the south-east.
