The alderman was declared the champion alderman over his fourteen competitors. Each of the beefeaters weighed more than 2501 b. The sight of the fifteen lined up to attack on the steaks aroused enthusiasm and envy. Ton of the fifteen men dropped out after devouring 31b of beef. The five who finished were: Dotzler of beef), Jack Probst (7h 11)), Frank Dostel (51-lb), Frank Wilson (4411>), and Frank Benedict (4Alb).
