CLUB SWINGING. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) London, October 21. Harry J. Lawson put up a world’s endurance club-swinging record at Ipswich of 112 hr. lomin. RIFLE SHOOTING. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, October 21. Tho executive committee of the Wellington Rifle Association decided to-night on a programme for a New Year’s meeting to be held at Trontham on January 1 and 2. Tho biggest prize list ever attempted for local shooting has boon drawn up, £3OO in cash prizes being offered. Six matches will bo fired, each with .37 prizes of £35 cash value, rno match for ten shots at 300, 500, GOO, 800 and 900 yards, and one at a thousand yards. In tho ehauijhonship aggregate £55 will he given, the first prize being £ls, the second £lO, and third £5. There will he a teams match for senior and junior to iuis, and special matches for senior cadets. Nn morons trophies have Loon promised. Entries are expected from all parts of New Zealand.
