Mr Bonar Law, presiding ac a oanquet to tno victors at the recent byelections, declared that the Prime Minister had broken all records for ureaches of faith. He liad changed the meaning of tlie English language. A political pledge now did not mean, in tiio Radical Prime Minister’s moutn, an obligation he felt bound to fulfil. Mr Lloyd .George was a born demagogue, and was sure to produce a dangerous policy and re-emphasise, iu a snriller note, tlie gospel of class hatred.
