On Thursday, October l/tli, Mr. Newton King'will conduct a clearing sale at Toko on account of Mr. W. Griffiths. . The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. will hold their Stnitford bull fair at the Stratford sale yards on Monday, October 21st. Entries are now being received. it is not generally known that Mr. Hopkins, bookseller, keeps on hand transparencies for windows, an article that saves frosting, and which is useful for bathroom or pantry windows, etc. Advertised in to-day’s issue on page 4. Messrs. Matthews, Bennett and Co. hold a stock sale at Inglewood on Wednesday, October IGtli. On Monday next, Messrs. Matthews, Bennett and Co. hold a stock sale at Tarata. Mr. Newton King will hold a cattle sale at his Toko sale yards on Monday. Entries appear elsewhere. The secretary of the Stratford Racing Club notifies that the Club lias, for sale a Cambridge roller, equal to now. Divine worship will bo conducted tomorrow morning and evening in the Broadway Church h> the Revg B. Motson. In the evening Miss E.
