Not. content with this, and in order to still further humiliate her, he makes a wager with one of his friends that he will bring her there by four o’clock. He had not foreseen, however, that Louis would attend Ihe supper. On the stroke of four; Remind and Emilie enter the supper room. Emilie is terrified Jo find herself in such company, and seeing Louis among the guests, asks him to • escort her home. Remind, furious at Louis’ interference, strikes him, and a challenge follows. Louis and Remind meet tne next dav, and Remind quickly runs him through. Stirring scenes follow, and the ending is a highly dramatic one. The pictures are said to be of equal excellence, and the attendance should bo a large one.
