At Denver, Mr Woodrow Wilson charged the Progressives with making a new deal with the Trusts Organisation of the Industrial Commission to regulate trusts. It was merely throwing dust in the eyes of democracy, giving the trust a new lease of protected life.
Mr Roosevelt vigorously denies the charge.
Mexico City, October 8
At Tampico, a powder explosion occurred during a spectacular warehouse fire, killing thirty spectators and injuring hundreds, including many women and children. The Government own/ the warehouse. ''-The fire is believed to be due to incendiarism.
