SALE OF LONDON “JOB” PURCHASES. Tlio sale of London “job” goods recently bought by the Melbourne Clothing Company’s Managing Director is now in full swing. This sale presents a remarkable opportunity of purchasing new goods at the beginning of the season. The purchases were made by the firm’s representative at the close of the English summer, just at a period when business was exceptionally quiet there owing to various causes, chief of which, of course, was the great strike of dockers. Manufacturers and warehousemen were in desperate straits, a position of affairs of which you may depend our managing director took full advantage.
