Newton King’s Stratford Weekly ... Report. ;At the Haymarket on Saturday 1 had a full yarding of pigs, There was also a large attendance of buyers but the enquiry was not so keen and prices accordingly were a little easier. Calves were penned in usual numbers and there being a good enquiry prices realised were a trifle higher than last sale. I quote: Slips and wcaners 12s, 13s 6d, to 16s 6d; small stores, 19s to £1 Is; medium do., £1 2s to £1 6s 6d; medium porkers, £1 9s to £1 15s; sows £3 ss; calves 2s to 17s; milk cart, £ls; harness £1 10s; plough £9. ( At the Mart.—Poultry; Only a few pons of birds came forward. Ducks 3s 3d, hens 3s 9d to 4s, turkeys 12s 6d to 15s. I have at present a good inquiry for all classes of poultry and would advise vendors to market their surplus stock. Potatoes (table) Ss 6d to 11s cwt; seed potatoes: Northern Star 6s to 9s, White Elephant Ss 6d to 1 Is, Up-to-l)ates 8s to 9s, White Rocks 15s 6d all at per cwt. Furniture and sundries at usual rates.
