Mr. H. Priestley, dork in the local Public Works Office, is shortly to be transferred to Gisborne. Mr. G. D. Hunter, secretary of the Stratford Racing Club, to-night tenders Ids resignation to the club. He finds it necessary to devote more time to his private business, and therefore reluctantly takes the course stated.
