NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., hold their annual sale of empty dairy heifers at the Kakaramea yards on Tuesday next, October 8 th.
Mesrs. Wake and Wright, Stratford, have two sums of money to lend. An advertiser has grazing to Jet. A reward is offered for the return of a lost gold brooch. Tenders are invited for the purchase of the butter factory, machinery, plant, and managers’ cottages at Tutatawa and Pnniwliakau. To-morrow the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. will hold a stock sale at the To Wcra sale yards, when 200 head of mixed cattle will bo sold. Particulars of Mr. T. Lamason’s Mart sa.le, which takes place on Saturday, are advertised elsewhere in this issue.

The Stratford County .Council invito tenders for the ro-metalling of one mile of Waiwiri Road. An advertiser lias H acres of fine residential property, situated in the township of Whaiigarei, for sale or exchange. To-night Mr. Norris E. King-will lecture on missionary work in Cnina, in the Broadway Church.
A reminder is given of Messrs. Matthews, Bennett and Co.’s horse fair, which takes place at Mr. C. Ladbrook’s stables to-morrow.
At the K-apo-nga sale yards to-mor-row Mr! Newton King will sell ISO head of mixed cattle. Entries appear in another column.
