HAWKE’S BAY RACES. The following are the additional results of yesterday’s meeting:— Hawke’s Bay Guineas, of 300 sovs; one mile.—Bon Ton, 8.10, 1; Haskayne, 8.6, 2; Sir Daniel, 8.10, 3. The only starters. Won by the smallest of margins, Sir Daniel being six lengths away. Time, Imin 42 1-Ssec. Hastings Stakes, of 250 ,sovs; four furlongs.—Tatterley, 8.0, 1; Merry Roe, 8.7, 2; Culture, 8.0, 3. Cotton Reel 8.5, Subduer 8.0, Lyrique 8.0, ■and Pursefiller 8.0, also started. Tatterley was badly left, but came throu'gh at the finish, and won by a neck. Time, 50sec, Spring Handicap, of 125 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—Cork, 7.3, .1; Goldfinder, 8.4, 2; Routine, 7.3, 3. Sir Tristram 7.12, Mangaroa 7.11, Aripm 7.8 San Pluie 7.2, Mysteriach 6.7, and Montiform 6.7, also started. Won by a length. Time, 2min 9 l-ssec. Waipatu Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs; one mile.—Fair Average, 7.2, 1; Manitau, 7.10, 2; Easy, 7,6, 3. Coolheggan 9.2, Peary 8.11, Peacemaker 8.5, Waikehua 8.3, Lord Kilcheran 8.8, Panthea 7.5, Merry Valet 7.3, Elevator 7.2, Divinia 7.0, and Trieze 7.0, also started. Won by a length. Time, Imin 44sec. Final Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs.—Our King (bracketed with Our Queen), 7.10, 1; Loch Mahin, 6.10, 2; Bobrikoff, 10.0, 3. Our Queen '8.2, Thrave 7.10, Allurement 7.9, Lord Soult 7.8, Lord Possible 7.7, Tigerine 7.4, Seatondale 7.0, Outward 6.12, and Winning Post 6.7, also started. Won by two lengths. Time Imin 15 2-ssec. SPORTING DISQUALIFICATIONS. Christchurch, October 2. The appeal of Timi Puru (owner of The Native) and C. Price (jockey) against the disqualification imposed by the Canterbury Jockey Club in connection with the New Zealand Grand National Hurdle Race will be beard in Wellington next Wednesday. SYDNEY TRAINING NOTES. (Received 10.15 a.m.) Sydney, October 3. Allegory, and Vice Admiral did four furlongs in 53sec. Bronze .after steady work sprinted. Trafalgar was perhaps slightly above himself but was in great heart after medium work over a mile and a half; he covered four furlongs in fast time. Wolawa easily beat Uncle Matt over the circuit in 2min 16|-sec. Ocean Bine finished tetter than Artesian at the end of the circuit covered in 2min 17sec. Gigantic, who was very fit, did easy work. Blackeney beat Rubecula over a mile in Imin 47sec, the first two furlongs in 25sec. Beverage ran a mile in Imin 454 sec. excellently. Piastre eas'ly heat Jamacar. Moorilla did ten furlongs in 2min 19sec. Cider, appreciating his task did ten furlongs in 2min 16sec. Simla and Barambah, fully exhausted, did ten furlongs in 2min 15sec. Perdita nicely did ten furlongs in 2 min IZsec. Lochano and Cisco covered a mile in Imin 463 sec. Shaja did the mile well in Imin 46sec. Symetris beat Boy Blue over nine furlongs in 2min ssec. At a meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association yesterday the j Hntt Valley Trotting Club forwarded a letter from James Troy, asking that
the disqualification imposed on himself and Ids wife in 1907 should he removed. The Club wrote that it offered no objection to the request. It was decided to refuse the application. The totalisator handled £10,802, ; compared with £10,202 for ~ : i ~t llattxe, L„.;. ~ .r
