THE MACARTHY BEQUESTS.

LEGISLATION REQUIRED. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, September 27. Mr. Justice Chapman to-day granted an application for a Judge’s certificate under the Legislative Act, 1908. It appears that the objects of the Macarthv Trust are unattainable except by legislation, and it is proposed in the Bill to incorporate the Governor, the Premier, the Roman Catholic Archbishop, and the Mayor of Wellington under the name of the Board of Governors. The Bill also makes provision for the acting of successors of the trustees, and for tfyo appointment of one or more advisory committees.
