OBITUARY.
PIONEER AND VETERAN
(Per Press Association.)' ' New Plymouth, September 26. Obituary: Walter Henry Scott, aged 83. Deceased came to New Plymouth in 1854. He served in the Militia throughout the Maori War and received the New Zealand war medal. He took great interest in local affairs and was mainly instrumental in establishing New Plymouth as a municipality.
