Invercargill, September 23

On Sunday evening tne police were informed that a man was lying on Point Road, Blu& helplessly drunk. I ho\ found him in a serious condition, death occurring before medical aid arrived. Empty brandy and whisky bottles lay beside the body.

Papers indicate that the deceased's name was Alexander Lander, and that ho has Friends in New South Wales.
