HOME RULE.
THE ULSTER COVENANT.
London, September 22
Sir E. Carson had a great reception at Londonderry. He said that if anyone signing the Covenant went back or failed at a critical moment, let him beware. He would be his brother's betrayer and an ignoble successor to Lundy, who advised the surrender of Londonderry to" King James. There must be no compromise, but if the Government dropped the shadow the Unionists would help to pursue the substance of ensuring the completion of land purchase, improvement of education, development of agriculture, and the people's contentment and prosperity.
