(Per Press Association.) ' '' Wellington, September 22. The final for the, ■ Wellington Senior Rugby Championship "was played yesterday. The Athletic' Club won, 1 heating Petonc by 6 to 3. The Wellington fifth-class representative team defeated the- Wanganui fourth-class rep. team by 8 points to nil. •*j f.y. THE „y Auckland}' September 22. The New. South'Wales ftfStballers defeated Auckland'' in*'the filial''"game of the tour at the Domain to-day, by 25 to 2. The ground was dry in tlie early stages, but heavy rain fell after the interval. The attendance was about 9000. New South Wales had all the best of the play. Tries were scored by Burge, Halloway, Frawley (4), and Norman, two being converted by Frawley and Norman. Hargraves kicked a penalty goal for Auckland.
CANTERBURY (10) v. HAWKE'S BAY (8).
Napier, September 22. Tho Northern' Union match, Canterbury versus Hawko's Bay, was played at McLean Park yesterday, in the presenceiof a moderate attendance. The ground was very rough, and a high wind militated against tho success of the game, which was comparatively uninteresting, and ended in favour of the visitors by ten points to eight. In the first spell, Shadbolt scored a try for Canterbury, and Dnvall, one for Hawke's Bay, neither being converted. In the second spell Bead scored for the visitors, and Shadbolt converted. The latter also kicked a splendid penalty goal. P. McCarthy scored for the home team, Johnston converting.
