HOCKEY. Timaru, September 19. Twenty teams, including some from Ashburton and Waimate, took part in a hockey tournament this afternoon, in fine weather. Ashburton won the senior man's division 'after five strenuous spells with Te Rangi (Timaru), by 1 to nil. On the junior division, St. Mary's beat Ashburton, 2 to nil. Of eight ladies' teams, High School won from Waimate by one goal to nil.
