Sir, —I shall be much obliged if you can publish tho following few lines re the Egmont by-election:—Just prior to the day of decision a claim was made on behalf of ono of the candidates, both from tho platform and tho press. +.hat if elected he would be the only dairy farmer representative in Parliament, lc is evident to me, sir, in this connection, that people who make such a claim have been misinformed. A telegram was received in Eltham from the Premier /'Mr. Massey) on Saturday, which stated that of the farmers in the House there were no fewer than twolvo dairy farmers, including tho Prime Minister.—T nm, etc..
