DOMINION TELEGRAMS.
STEAMER STRIKES SUBMERGED OBJECT. (Per Press Association.) Gisborne, September 19. .The steamer Squall while on her proper course coming out of Tolaga Bay for Gisborne yesterday morning struck a submerged object, and arrived at Gisborne yesterday in a leaky condition. An extra pump was procured and the water was easily kept down, temporary repairs being effected. The Squall expected to leave to-night for Auckland.
