ARMY MANOEUVRES AT CAMBRIDGE.
(Received 1.35 p.m.) London, September IG.
The army manoeuvres have commenced. The Red Army, comprising 22,000 men under “General Haig, is advancing on London, while the Blue Force of 23,000 men under General Grierson, is opposing. They will he concentrated near Cambridge, where the King will pay a visit. The war will last for four days. ACTRESSES NOT TO MARRY. The Evening News states that Mr George Edwardes has been compelled to insert a clause in his agreement prohibiting 'actresses from marrying. This has been done in order to prevent the inconvenience caused by actresses quitting the stage while a play is running. SMALLPOX. Several cases of smallpox arc reported at Kirkcaldy. It is believed the epidemic was introduced by a shipment of Russian flax.
