At the Supreme Court to-day Kan Alsen, wharf labourer, was sentence;, to two months' imprisonment on ; charge of stealing court dresses fron the hold of the steamer Kahu. TJr. Magistrate said he could not treat sue] offences lightly, and hoped it woulc be a warning to others in a simikn position to accused.
