Matthews, Bennett and Cc.'s Report.
Messrs Matthews, Bennett and Co. report a fair yarding of cattle at their [nglewood yards last Wednesday:—A pen of very choice heifers were sold at good prices after good competition and store cattle were in good demand. We quote: Springing heifers, good, £3 to £lO 15s, others £5 10s to £7; cows, trood, £5 5s to £9 10s, unsound and acred £3 15s to £-1 ss, store cows £3 5s to £3 18s; empty heifers, £3 lis 6d to £4 7s 6d; Yearling steers, £2 Lis fid to £2 lGs 6d; heifers, £2 15s to £3 Bs. At Tarata on Monday yearlings made £1 IDs 6d to £3 18s5 2 year steers £3 12s Gd, springing heifers £5 5s to £7.
