ST. MARY’S SPRING BULB SHOW.
Despite the had weather which has prevailed lately, large entries have hern received in most classes for the
show, which opens at the Dominion Show Buildings, Hawera, to-day. Cut blooms and the narcissi classes will be well filled up, ■' while the decorative class has record entries. The children’s class has also a record. Following the usual practice, decorated tallies and mantlepieces will be judged by popular vote; that is, every adult visiting the show will have the privilege of saying which exhibit should receive the first prize. Three nurserymen will have the exhibition stands, which should he well patronised. The ladies will have plenty of good things in their respective stalls to please the most critical, while the Christmas tree and bran tuli will douhtles afford endless amusement to the little ones. Firstclass concerts have been arranged for to-night and to-morrow evening. The Hawera Band also has kindly consented to play selections.
