WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: —
Freshening northerly winds, strong to gale, and veering to west. Weather conditions threatening, and there is every prospect of bad weather. Storm appears to be approaching from the west. Heavy rain to be expected, with rivers Hooded. Barometer falling fast.
