A SERIOUS OFFENCE.
REMAND GRANTED,

Carterton, September 7. \ A man named Edward Arthur -Jones, aged 35. was charged at the Police Court this morning with indecently assaulting a boy aged seven years. It Avas alleged that accused enticed the hoy to an empty house, and committed the assault. The application of the police for a remand Avas granted until Friday. Bail was fixed, accused in one recognisance of £IOO and tAVo sureties of £SO each.
