Matthews, Bennett and Co.’s Report. Messrs. Matthews, Bennett and Co. had a fair yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Springers were in demand, and young cattle sold well, practically everything being sold at the following prices:— Heifers, springing, good, £7 to £8 15s; others, £5 to £6 10s; cows, good, £8 to £lO 10s ; inferior, £4 'to £5; store cows. £3 4s to £3 19s; old do., £1 15s '"'^i£2; empty heifers, £3 16s to £4 7s; heifers. £2 15s to £3 2s; jHlsbred Holstein do., £3 14s; mixed Raiding, £2 2s to £2 18s; hulls, £3 to £3 15s: Holstein do, £6. At the Mart on Saturday there was a good entry of pigs, which snkl freely at these rates—weaners 12s Gd to 16s Gd, store £1 2s to £1 ss.
