CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor “Stratford Post.”)

Sir, —I will just trouble you for i short space on the electric light, unci in the first place'*? may say 1 am shareholder antT’Mve been since the oompany was formed. But iron) a con sinner’s point of view the management at present, is ff»r from satisfactory Now, what is the position? Speaking For myself, my house has been closed and the whole family a,way for a month —and even more on several occasions Still the electric light account came in. I spoke to, and rang up, the .mana ger (Mr Newton), dozens of times over a period of the past two years. Each time he promised to look at and examine the meter, but failed to do so : in fact he treated the whole thing with contempt. I then wrote to tin company, and received no reply, only a verbal one. 1 would suggest that the Borough Council should appoint an Inspector of Meters, and see that the consumer gets a fail 1 deal from the company. It would pay the consumers to contribute proportionally towards the inspector’s salary. I car prove that in some cases the persons burning two lights are paying more than others that are burning six lights, and T have already pointed this out tc the Directors by letter. —I am, etc., JOSEPH McCLVGGAGE. Stratford, September sth, 1912.
