North Island 4fd light weights, lid heavy weights, ewes Id. There is small business doing and ( prices are, weak in the markets. Lamb.—The demand is chiefly foi medium weights. Canterbury 5;Jd, other than Canterbury o}d, Plate l:|d. Beef. The market is steady but without animation. Quotations show a weaker tendency on account of plentiful offerings of dhilled. N.Z. hinds 3Jd, fores 3*d, Plate chilled hinds 4d, fores 2Jd. Kauri Gum.—The market is firm with improved demand at higher prices. Dark brown selected re-scraped 130 s to 160 s, three-quarter scraped 85s to 100 s, chips drossy 30s to 455, rescraped pale amber to £l3, pale threequarter scraped 150 s to 170 s, diggers' chips good 50s to 60s. A total of 525 cases was offered and 300 sold. The stock is 267 tons. WThieat. —The market is quiet but steady. N.Z. long-berried wheat ex granary per quarter of 4961bs lis. Oats.—The market is steady and fair business is doing. Peas. The market is rather quiet. The demand is getting hotter. .N.Z. peas, Partridge, per 5041bs 'los new crop. Beans. —The market is dull and very little business is doing. N.Z. beans f.a.q. (old crop) per 5041bs 375, forward shipment 355. Cocksfoot Seed.—The market is unchanged.
