Mil WILKINSON AT KAPONGA. The Reform candidate, Mr C. (A. Wilkinson, addressed a large meeting at Kaponga on Saturday evening, there, being an attendance of fully 140. Mr A. Guy (chairman of the Town Board) presided. The candidate's speech was on similar lines to his Eltham address the previous evening, outlining the faulty administration of the party recently put out of office, the platform of reform and its sound legislative proposals of the Massey Government, together with Ihds advocacy of other measures for the general welfare of the people and country. After questions had been dealt with, to the evident satisfaction of the audience, a vote of thanks was accorded Mr Wilkinson on the motion of Messrs G. Death and Allhusen. Two fairlv strong committees afterwards formed, of which Mr A. V. 0. Tait was elected chairman, and Mr Wauglhi secretary for the men's section, and Miss Power president of tibe ladies' section. MR WILKINSON AT OPUiNAKE. (Per Pres 3 Association.) Opunako, September 3. At the political addrew delivered by Mr Wilkinson at Opunake last night about two hundred people were present. Mr W. C. Dudley presided. The candidate was given a good hearing, and was applauded throughout, After answering questions, a motion was introduced according the candidate a vote of thanks and confidence. An amendment of thanks only was supported by about six. For the amendment a forest of hands was held up for the motion, which was declared carried amidst considerable enthusiasm and prolonged applause.
