Copper.—Spot, £74 13s 9d ; three months, £75 2s Gd; electrolytic, £76 15s. Tin.—Spot £213, three months £202 10s. MOUNT LYELL COMPANY. (Received 30, 9.35 a.m.) Melbourne, May 30. The half-yearly report of the Mt. Lyell Co. shows the not profits to bo £20.523. The diminution of profits was entirely due to strikes, and generally unsettled labour conditions. The liquid assets show a surplus of £420,581 over liabilities. T. and Co.’s Weekly Report. Last Saturday I held my usual weekly sale at the Mart, when a very good entry in all classes of produce came to hand, especially in poultry and vegetables. Prices were satisfactorf. I quote as follows: Cockerels Is Td to 2s each, old hens Is to Is 3d, others Is 3d to 2s, pullets 5s Gd to 3s Id, ducks Is Gd to Is 9d. Vegetables: Carrots 3s 3d per sack, cauliflowers and broccoli to is 8d per doz. pabhago 2s per sack; furniture, sundries, etc., sold at usual auction rates.
