Om(t, organiser for the Northe-n League. safd that the New Zealand League was willing to assist Wellington in the matter of advice and finance. the rules of the game provide that nobody should get any compensation for playing in their leisure time, and no man drew anything for Saturday afoernoons. The men were only paid when on tour and losing wages. Any man who relied on making money enough to keep him by playing the game would be making a great nil stake. The ground bogey would be done away with for this season. .Nominations were received from tour clubs, and it was decidel to commence training immediately. It was announced that arrangements had been made for representative matches to be played between Wellington, Nelson, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, AucJc'tnl, and Wanganui. A match wnid be played between New South Wales and Wellington, and in all probability between Sew South Wales and New Zealand. A touring team would be sent to New S\)uth Wales during the season. Nelson desired to send a team hero on June 8.
