Ge.ndarmes at Bredow were pursuing two burglars when one of the latter fired, killing an official named Kleinsshmied. The gendarmes retaliated and wounded a burglar, who was then shot dead by his comrade, apparently to prevent betrayal of secrets. The second burglar was eventually killed. Neither lias been identified.
