AN UNPOPULAR RESOLUTION
(Per Press Association.) Greymouth, May 21
At a general meeting of the State Miners’ Union on Sunday a resolution was carried that the members of the State Miners’ Union of Industrial Workers pledge themselves to support only those who support and advertise in the “Maoriland Worker/ ’ it being a
worker’s paper; and that the secretary write to all unions on the coast with a view to concerted action. A very unsatisfactory canvass was made of the Greymouth tradespeople yesterday, who disapprove of such a resolution.

Matters here arc very quiet indeed All the men on the Globe mine wort turned off yesterday with the exeep tion of the engineer and fireman, ant one or two others. The secretary ant president are away at the Pederatioi of Labour Conference. They are ex pected to return in a day or two.
