TEAMS FOR THURSDAY. T'o following teams have been chosen to represent Stratford on Thursday: Seniors v. Clifton at Waitara (leaving hy 8.50 a.m. train): Kivell, Surgenor, Crawshaw, Anderson, Dud Cameron, C. Stewart, "Wood, Bonner, Fearon (3), Whittington, Young, Boon, Sullivan. First Juniors v. Tukapa at New Plymouth (leaving by 8.50 a.m. train): Watkins, Callaghan, Sid James, J. Osborne, A. Brown, Hancock (2), Polity Jones, H. .Masters, Loveridge, Bowler, Bayly, F. Sheahan, F. Collins, A. Biown. Anyone not able to play must notify the secretary to-morrow. Owing to the fixtures being re-ar-ranged the second juniors have a bye on Thursday. There will he a para.de for the Territorials on Friday evening as usual. At the Police Court on Saturday evening, Mr. C, D. Sole, J.P., presiding, a female first offender was fined 5s for drunkenness. Residents are warned to put their firewood under lock and key, _ Good rata logs are scarce, and evidently there are some people who find it cheaper to gather their wood from other people's wood heaps. The Convent is the latest victim of this predatory habit.
