WHEAT MARKET. Sydney, May 10. Wheat is easier, and is now quoted at -1b 2d to 4s 4d. Matthews and Bennett’s Report. Messrs. Matthews and Bennett report a fair yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last, prices i were about on a par with late sales, and the majority selling at the hammer at the following prices:—lß to 2Q month steers (inferior) £2 14s to £B, store cows £3 5s to ■£3 16s, old do. £1 5s to £2 ss, weaners 38s to 18s, very inferior 10s to 18s, 8d to- 7s 7d, f.m. ewes 6s 6d to _7s. Private sale during the week prices as follows:—Empty heifers £3 1s to £3 3s. 4 tooth wethers 13s 6d to 14 s, 2 tooth do. 13s, crossbred Jersey heifers £2, good lambs 8s to 8s 6cl. At the Mart on Saturday weaner pigs made from 6s to 11s 6d, store 15s 6d to 18s.
