AVIATORS’ RISKS.
DAMAGES RECOVERED FROM A BIRDMAN. FOR STAMPEDING COWS. Sydney, May 9. A peculiar case occupied the District Court. A plaintiff claimed £29 against an aviator named Hart. He alleged that defendant propelled an aeroplane over a herd of cows, causing a stampede, in which two were killed. He further claimed that defendant broke and entered on his land. A verdict for the plaintiff for the amount claimed was given. The second charge was disallowed. TOO RISKY A GAME. (Received 10, 8.45 a.m.) Sydney, May 10. As a result of yesterday’s case, Hart declares that aeroplaning is too risky, and after filling his existing engagements, he will drop out of the game.
