STAR (8) v. TUKAPA (3). The juniormatc.il. Star v. Tukapa, eventuated in the Recreation Ground, there' being only a small number of spectators. After a somewhat unexciting tussle the former fifteen won by .8 points to 3. All tbe points were obtained in the first half of the game, Harvey drew first blood for Stars, with a try from a scramble. Bui lot added the major points. A penalty goal by McGahey increased the blacks’ lead to eight points. The kick was a fine'piece of work. The blues became aggressive, and through the blacks mulling, McKoy scored in a handy position. West, however, failed to convert. The rest of the game was composed principally of a scramble and give-and-take nature Mr. H. Petty was referee. STRATFORD (3) v. ELTHAM (0). ' ; The above match eventuated on the Show Grounds yesterday, there being only a small attendance. The game from, start teq finish was not of a very interesting nature, both teams lacking considerably in comhtion. During the progress of the match, Cooper, of Elthain, was injured. A rib was broken and it is thought that probably his liv 7 cr was punctured. Mr. F. Spindle was , referee. V CLIFTON (20) v. INGLEWOOD (14). At Inglewood yesterday Clifton jun'iors defeated the local fifteen by 20 points to 14. SECOND JUNIORS. Tukapa third juniors forfeited to Stratford, and an arrangement was made to play the Eltham-Stratford fixture at Stratford. The visitors put in an appearance, and on entering Victoria Park a Soccer match was in progress, and as no referee was present, the match lapsed. Eltham, we understand, intends .claiming the match. This will be a matter for the Union to look into.
