AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. There was a good house at His Majesty’s Theatre last night, when the . present programme was screened for the second time, and met with general approval from the audience 1 present. Judging by the large audiences which; gather at this theatre night after night, it is plain that the various programmes selected by M.adame Bernard and screen from time to time meet with the approval of her patrons. To-night the same programme will be repeated for the last time, and as the programme consists of eleven pictures, made up of three dramas, ’ three scenics, one Natural History (birth, life, and death of plants), and four comics, all of a very interesting ' nature, it should draw a bumper house. On Thursday night a complete change of programme will he 1 submitted, the star picture on this ■ occasion being “Dan Morgan,” a notorious Australian bushranger, upwards of 4000 feet in length, toge- • ther with a full programme* of high* ' class pictures. On May 22nd, the benefifit to the ’ local Convent takes place, and a 5 special lot of Irish films has been se--1 cured for the occasion. 1 Among the dramatic pictures, to ho shown to-morrow are “A Voiceless j Message,” “Snare of Society,” and “Heart of an Outlaw.” A film showing the preparation of the “Aurora” i for the Antarctic will also be screened.
