TO INVESTIGATE UNREST. (Received 6, 1.25 p.m.) London, May 5. Sir Edward Grey, and Messrs. Lloyd George, Churchill, and Buxton, constitute the committee to investigate the prevailing unrest. A SOCIALISTIC SUGGESTION. (Received 6, 1.25 p.m.) London, May 5. Mr. Keir Hardie, speaking at Swansea, proposed that instead of a minimum daily wage there ha a yearly salary paid whether made by good or bad workers, and whether idle or not.
