ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, May 5. Figures supplied by the Statistical Department show that the net gain of population by arrivals over departures for the year ended March 31st, was 5892, as against 2874 for the previous year. The detailed figures arc: April: Arrivals 2122, departures 4133; May: 3309 and 3400; June: 1090 and 327(5 ; duly: 3048 and 2889; August: 2(552 and 2531; September: 3485 and 2915; October: 3169 and 2360; November: 5248 and 2054; December: 5192 and 2808; January: 5096 and 3031; February; 3902 and 3125; March: 3365 and 4672. Totals: 1912, 43,097 and 37.205; 1911, 37.049 and 34.375.
