I / THREATENED ENCROACHMENT OF POLES AND DANES. A BIG LAND PURCHASE. Berlin, May 4. A Bill has been introduced in the Prussian Diet, empowering the Government to raise £5,000,000 to purchase land in certain districts of East Prussia and Schleswig-Holstein, for the settlement of German farmers, to prevent the land falling into tho hands of Poles and Danes.
