NEW MACHINERY.

FOE STRATFORD ELECTRICAL SUPPLY COMPANY. SUCCESSFUL TRIAL RUN. The first trial run with the Stratford Electrical Supply Company’s new Die-feel engine was made at noon today, Mr. T. Hill supervising the trial, Mr. W. J. Newton, the company’s en-gineer-in-chief, and Mr ILivdry, of the National Electrical and Enginering Company, who is in Stratford erecting the switchboard and appliances, being present. The engine started perfect* Jy immediately the valves were opened, and no hitch of any description occurred. There was no warming or •boating of any kind. The trial reflects considerable credit on tfie erectors, and it is typical of the famous D-es-1 that no trouble occurs at >men installations. The fears that had been previously expressed that possibly this nCw and expensive machinery might not prove anything like so valuable as was, expected are now dissipated. We understand that a formal opening ceremony will take place on the evening of the 16th inst., in the presence of the directors and shareholders of the company, and members of the Stratford County and Borough Councils.
