(Per Press Association.) Auckland, May 4. Mrs Little, one of the two women taken suddenly ill at Takapuna on the 25th nit., died in the hospital at midnight last night. Deceased and her sister, Mrs Angus Nicholson, had a sudden seizure after having refreshment. It was at first suggested that the cause was ptomaine poisoning. The inquest on Mrs Nicholson, who died previously, disposed of this theory, medical testimony attributing the illness in both eases to cerebral hemorrhage. Christchurch, ' May 3. The Rev. Mr Butler, a Baptist minister residing at Spreydon, died suddenly this afternoon. He had just seated himself in a chair, when lie had a stroke and died instantly. The deceased was between 50 and 60 years of ago, and had only been a minister at the Spreydon church for a fortnight. Eketaluina, May -1. A new residence in the course of erection for Mr. Frank Robinson al Hainan was struck by a whirlwind and practically demolished. The roof was torn off and portions were carried a considerable distance away while the chimney was almost razed to tin ground. The building was almost completed.
