MOTORS HELD UP
(Per Press Association.} Gore, May 2
The motor ears on the Lumsden-Te Anau service, due at Lumsden at noon on Tuesday, have not returned yet, owing to floods. The unbridged condition of the road made the trip impossible. It is imperative that something should be done if the service is to be a success. The mails were brought through to-day by horse and trap. Heavy rains are boing experienced and the country is badly flooded This is severe on farmers, as the harvest is still unthrashed.
