LONDON WOOL SALES. (Received 2, 8.50 a.m.) London, May 1. Wool: Timia, top lOd, average Bfd; Kiur, lOd, 9Jd; Hillersden, Is, 10*1. Tin: Spot £2ll 10s, three months £•O9. The Kaipara's New Zealand apple:; were in good condition. Many were ■immature. The bulk sold at 6s 9d and 6s 6d and some of Cox's at 10s to lis. Tallow: 1862 casks were offered and 1218 sold. Mutton line 37s Gd, medium 34s fid, beef line 35s 9d, medium 345. T. Lamason's Weekly RcF?or*. Last Saturday I held my usual weekly sale when a very good entry of different classes was submitted to auction, especially in poultry, which was one of the largest I have had. The tendency just now is to quit rather than to buy, and taking this into consideration prices were very satisfactory. T quote as follows: Roosters Is to 2s, hens Is to Is fid. pullet:: 2s fid to 3s, ducks Is fid to 2s, cabbage Is !d to 2s per dozen, eschalots 5d per lb, onions 2s 9d 2lib bag, potatoc k 2s 241 b bag, marrows Gd to Is each, carrots 3d bundle; furniture, etc., at usual auction rates.
