HIS .MAJESTY'S THEATRE. To-night will witness the usua complete change of pogramme, a von lino set of films having been receivec for screening this evening. The stai j film is "Macbeth." No doubt most people have witnessed this celebrate* drama, and will anticipate a treat u the reproduction of the scenes of thil great tragedy. Vivid mechanical effects are used, making the picture presentation realistic, and convincing. I lu- murder and ghost scenes are well put on. "Amsterdam and Rotterdam' rs<& scenic film full of educational value, illustrating life in these cities. "Scenes in China" will no doubt arouse great interest, as China is now the centre of so much political excitement and revolutionary effort. There are several other films of exceptional interest. SKATING CARNIVAL. The skating carnival to be held in the Town Hall on Thursday May 9th, promises to be a really great affair. Skater©will be present from all parts of the province—from the north, south, east, and west—and with fanej costumes, the skaters should iudeeo make a brave showing. The management is offering the usual handsome prizes for competition among the skaters, >nd these will be well worth winning. One of the prizes is a handsome set of fish, poultry, and meat servers. The floor at the Town Hall is in excellent trim, and, with the good accommodation provided, and ample floor space, a rinkers' paradise is offered to all patrons of the carnival.
