A STRAIGHT-OUT VOTE NOT FAVOURED. REDUCTION OF HOURS. .' (Received 2, 9.20 a.m.) Sydney, May 2. At the annual conference of the New South Wales Alliance a motion in favour of amending the Liquor Act for a straight-out vote with a simple majority to decide was negatived by 14 to 13. A motion favouring reduction of the hours which hotels are open was adopted.
